I have been busy fitting the Kitchen on the Pirate Boat. I’m used to working on level services but being on a Boat it’s not that simple. But now have built Kitchen from scratch. Photos will appear in the near future. The Pirate Dogs heart condition with age is getting worse sadly. So sadly I can’t take him on long walks or to Pubs anymore. But he still trotters along towpaths and at the home mooring and seems very happy.
I am getting wound up by morons speeding past my Boat every week and at least once times a month hitting my Boat. I always slow down when passed Moored Boats not that the Pirate Boat moves fast as it is. But people rush through Swing Bridges regardless trying to get to Liverpool. Most Boaters I find generally sensible and considerate to be fair. I suppose I’m becoming a grumpy middle-aged sod.
Above is a Photo taken at Maghull Swing Bridge No.12 by a chap called Paul who sent me it. The Bridge makes a large banging sound every time a Car goes over it. As in need of repair, and does not close Level. The Two Tonne weight limit has been long ignored, and there’s regular standoffs with motorists to get across the single lane Bridge. Sometimes it kicks off, and very amusing to watch.
I will be posting a lot in the next few weeks and will be posting some lovely photos.
